Tony began his PR career in London in the 1960’s.
In 1971, he established Action Public Relations,
the first full-service PR Company in Cyprus and the
eastern Mediterranean region. He quickly gained a first
class reputation and a growing list of blue chip international
clients, including British Airways, Bayer, Coca Cola,
Hilton Hotels, Siemens, and Unilever, for which he and his
organization have received many prestigious PR awards.
His work with the New Zealand Meat Producers Board
earned him the respect and trust of the New Zealand
government which, in 1993, appointed him Honorary
Consul for New Zealand in Cyprus. HRH Queen Elizabeth II
made him an honorary member of the New Zealand Order
of Merit (MNZM) in 2008 for public relations services to
New Zealand’s export market, and for assisting in the
evacuation of New Zealand citizens in Lebanon during
the 2006 invasion by Israel.
Tony expanded his organization into Greece in 1989,
followed swiftly by a network of offices in and around the
Middle East. Rebranded in over 40 countries on three continents
and is the first and only independent PR agency network in
Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Baltics, Russia
and the CIS countries, Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa
and the eastern Mediterranean.Tony Christodoulou is currently
based in the company’s headquarters in Cyprus, from where he
leads the day to day management of the Action Global network.
Michalis is a finance professional with over 20 years experience
in Cyprus, the UK and Libya. He places great emphasis on the
importance of local knowledge in managing a profitable business
and coordinates a team of finance managers across the Action
network.
Chris Christodoulou is a Director of the Action Group with
15 years experience in the marketing communications
industry built through a career that started in London at
the Wall Street Journal. Here he quickly learnt the
importance of finding innovative ways to engage with
people. At Action, Chris has grown a successful
international media buying offering throughout the network;
so that the company is now able to add valuable additional
communications services for its clients.
Together with this expertise, Chris is also responsible for
the management of Action Cyprus and Action Hellas.
Under his guidance these businesses have successfully
grown, making Action Cyprusthe country’s top ranked PR
agency and Action Hellas highly competitive in its
marketplace. Chris also advises international clients across
the Eastern Mediterranean and Eastern European regions.
Kathy Christodoulou has over 15 years of experience in
high level communications consultancy, crisis management,
international media relations and event planning and
management. She advises blue chip brands such as
British Airways, OMV, Boehringer Ingelheim, Nabucco and
the EU.
Her extensive experience, coupled with her knowledge of
the Eastern Mediterranean, Middle East and Eastern &
Central European markets, has helped her clients meet
their business objectives in these challenging environments.
Kathy manages the Action Global Co-ordination Hub,
which provides a single point of contact for market entry
and reputation management for multi market campaigns.
She also manages a team in Cyprus that supports the
Action network agencies in maintaining Action’s high
quality delivery across the board. Kathy is responsible
for driving Action’s digital capabilities to ensure that Action
clients and network offices are engaging in the fast growing
social media opportunities across all the Actions markets.
Lina Shurkevich has been with Action since it established its
Russian presence in 2002, and has been a key player in the
growth of our well-established and reputable communications
hub in Moscow and while each agency in the CIS and Ukraine
operates independently, our Moscow office provides guaranteed
support when needed. With a dynamic on–the-ground team,
Lina has managed many successful projects and campaigns
including the British Airways’ move from Sheremetyevo
International Airport (SVO) to Domodedovo Airport (DME);
the launch of Russia’s first low-cost air carrier, Avianova and
the start of Hellenic Bank’s operation in the country. Lina has
also been involved with the “Education UK” exhibition, which is
the largest overseas education event in Moscow, for four years.
Based in Dubai, Fouad oversees, manages and develops Action’s regional network in the Gulf States. Fouad has a wealth of experience in developing and implementing strategic communication campaigns for key government entities and corporate organisations across diverse industry sectors. Most recently he was Communications Director for the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council.
After 10 years as a journalist Dimitris joined Action
Global Communications in 2006. Initially responsible
for multi market client management, he was then made
PR Country Director for Action's Cyprus office and
advised clients such as VTTI, Eurobank EFG, Microsoft,
British Airways, BP Eastern Mediterranean, and Four
Seasons Hotels.
In 2010 Dimitris was appointed Regional Manager for
Action’s offices in Greece and Cyprus, focusing on
client service, corporate communication strategy,
strategic media relations, crisis management and public
affairs. Dimitris writes a weekly column called “PRMAN”
for the leading Cyprus daily paper – ‘Phileleftheros’.
