Action Bulgaria continues this year with its successful promotion of the “Ex-Smokers are Unstoppable” campaign, initiated by the European Commission. On January 22, the agency held a promotional event for the campaign, in cooperation with the “Smoke Free Life Coalition” NGO, and offered to help with the registration of the virtual iCoach platform, designed by the EC to offer support to people who want to quit smoking. On February 16, the agency organized a press briefing for the EU Commissioner for Health and Consumer Policy, John Dalli, at the Representative Office  of the European Commission in Bulgaria. During the briefing the Commissioner spoke about the future activities of the “Ex-Smokers are Unstoppable” campaign and shared his views on the total ban of smoking in public places in Bulgaria. Over 30 journalists attended the event and the Action team was complimented for running the best briefing held to date. Subsequently there was extensive  media coverage of the briefing.
