September was certainly a month of events for Action Moscow as the team, led by country manager Lina Shurkevich, planned and implemented three high profile media relations and business-to-business events for international clients.
On 7 September, Action PR supported the organization of a workshop run by Visit Scotland in partnership with VisitBritain and devoted to maintaining and developing Scottish-Russian relations in the travel industry. Held at the National Hotel, Moscow, the workshop was followed by a Reception for all guests. Action PR secured the attendance of travel trade and lifestyle media and introduced them to representatives of Visit Scotland and Scottish tourist services providers. As a result, a large number of publications provided coverage of the event together with the latest stats data on the current state of affairs in the industry. At the end of the workshop, journalists were invited to address questions to UK Borders Agency Officer Robert Scott, whose responses were widely covered by the travel media.
On 16 September, Action PR Russia organized a workshop for representatives from 10 leading member companies of the National Inter-professional Organization of Olive Oil and Olives of Greece. The workshop was a match-making event to introduce Greek olive oil and olive companies/producers to Russian food business representatives, and to facilitate further cooperation in the Russian market. Held at the Sheraton Palace Hotel, Moscow, the workshop was followed by a gala dinner for all guests. Action PR oversaw the planning and logistics of the event and secured the attendance of Russian businesses working in F&B segment and food industry. Trade media representatives were also invited to take part. Action PR also facilitated high-level communication by inviting to the Gala Dinner representatives of the Greek Embassy in Russia, officials from the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Moscow Government, and professional unions and associations.
On 20 September, Action Moscow supported SunGard Higher Education, a leading IT company, in its continuing efforts to make inroads into the Russian education market. As the strategic partner of the Moscow Management School "Skolkovo's", SunGardHE Chief Executive Officer Ron Lang attended the School's inaugural MBA ceremony. Action managed to secure three interviews between Ron Lang and well-known online and offline education publications, giving Russian audiences an opportunity to learn more about SunGardHE's digital products for improving the performance of higher education institutions.
