Tony Christodoulou:
38 years at the helm
TONY CHRISTODOULOU, Founder and Managing Director of Action Global Communications, began his career in the 60s as a communication specialist in London’s burgeoning ‘pop’ industry. He is closely associated with the success of many world famous performers.
In 1971, Tony returned to Cyprus to establish Action Public Relations, the first full-service public relations company in Cyprus and the eastern Mediterranean region. He quickly gained a first-class reputation and a growing list of blue chip international clients, including British Airways, Bayer, Coca Cola, Intercontinental Hotels, Siemens, and Unilever, for which he and his organization have received many prestigious PR awards. His work with the New Zealand Meat Producers Board earned him the respect and trust of the New Zealand government, which appointed him Honorary Consul for New Zealand in Cyprus. In turn, his sterling work as Consul has earned him an MNZM from HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
Tony expanded his organisation into Greece in 1989, followed swiftly by a network of offices in and around the Middle East. The company, rebranded as Action Global Communications, has since overseen a dynamic expansion over a vast area. The Action network now operates in over 40 countries in three continents.
Tony Christodoulou is currently based in the company’s headquarters in Cyprus, from where he leads the day-to-day management of the Action global PR network, ensuring it maintains consistently high standards of service throughout Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, North Africa and the Central Asian Republics.
